2006 Gibson SG
A guitar I have always loved since my early Tony Iommi fanboy days.
Not really much to say about this guitar. It’s gorgeous. I cut my teeth on guitar by learning literally every Black Sabbath song I could get my hands on. So to say I have always wanted a black SG is an understatement. I was also playing with a Black Sabbath Tribute band (Rat Salad) during this time, so it had to be done!
It’s mostly stock with the exception of the pickguard (black was the original). I changed it to a mirror during the Salad days, then to the more traditional Tortoise shell it has now. I added the faux Bugsby tailpiece for the looks, but also to add some weight to the rear end of this guitar. I have always found SG’s to be a bit headstock heavy. So the tailpiece balances it out.
Sounds amazing. Pure Angus Young growl and clarity.
